What does a physics professor and his family do for fun? Well, in addition to biking, hiking and canoeing, they paint elaborate Astro-compasses on playgrounds, of course! Dr. Alan Scott—often with the help of his wife Monica, and their two children Rachel and Austin—has been painting the elaborate Astro-compasses (of his own design) on the playgrounds of schools around Menomonie and surrounding communities.
